WEDDINGS

Some days ago, I found a report in the newspaper “The Times” that talked about weddings. They basically said that is being a transition on the marriage celebration.

These days, people that want to get married, more often choose hotels and historic houses to celebrate the ceremony than churches. This is the curious fact that studies say about those who are marrying lately in England.

This fact shows us that times are changing and nowadays the traditional church wedding is becoming less popular as couples look for alternative venues at home and abroad so, taking this into a business point of view, we could say that our society is constantly changing, always looking forward to new stuff, wondering new things to have or to do, and this, as we see in this example of the wedding celebration, bit by bit we are leaving the traditional stuff apart to enter in a new way of living where new and innovative products and services are required.

How will life be in 70 years? We will still appreciate the same things? I don’t know, but I would like to know it...

  1. The other day I was discussing with one friend the actual weddings. We talk about the differences of the weddings of some years ago and the weddings of now a days.
I agree with Montse, is true that the people who wants to married look for hotels and historic houses and not the traditional church, but is not the only think that has changed.
Now a day also are very typical the gay weddings, the people see it very normal like the traditional weddings. And another think it also change is the wedding presents. Years ago it was a list that make the novios with some presents, now the people give money.
I think that the traditional weddings will disappear. The people looks for new thinks and new experience. The customs, values, beliefs are changing a lot, and also we are losing the real sense of the wedding.
